CS Shhandella Hotel

For a budget hotel, the food is great value, and the aloo, gobi, and paneer parathas, black dal fry, and aloo mutter are worth trying. Nain Singh, the manager, is professional, helpful, and knowledgeable, and the staff are polite and very accommodating. The market is only a five-minute walk away. Rooms are good for the price, about 1500 a night in the off season, with hot water available all day and night. Room cleanliness was average, though the toilet was clean.

Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, and the rent is lower than at many other hotels. Geysers and room heaters are available in every room. It could be a lovely place to spend a few days close to nature, waking up in the chilly air with a warm coffee and your soulmate. A nice budget hotel.

We stayed two nights on our way back from Leh. The rooms themselves were good, and the room boys and waiters were nice, but parking was a major problem, especially since there isn't a clear route to reach the hotel. I wouldn't recommend it if you're bringing your own vehicle, as we couldn't park ours there. Management was rude, and after 11 pm they wouldn't provide anything, not even drinking water. I'd also skip the complimentary breakfast when booking, because the amount served felt too small for what we paid.

The staff were very nice, the rooms were good, and the food was very good too. Mall Road is close enough to walk to, though cars may have trouble getting here. They do have some parking space. A decent budget stay near Mall Road in Manali.
