The Katoch Grand Resort

The peaceful setting and the views around the resort really won me over. The staff were gentle and there was plenty of parking. I've stayed in other parts of Manali before, but never here, and now I wonder why I waited. Getting there can mean some traffic, though that's common around Manali, so it didn't bother me much.

What stood out was how quiet it felt, with apple farms around the resort and the river alongside it. The large windows gave us lovely mountain and river views, and the open riverside garden, bonfire and indoor games added to the restful atmosphere. The rooms and rest of the property were clean, the food was very good, and the staff were polite and professional. I stayed at Katoch Grand Resort, Manali, in Room No. 209 from 17 January to 20 January 2026, and had an excellent visit. One thing I'd suggest to the owner is a paid pickup and drop from the Volvo bus stand, since the distance and unreliable local cabs may put some tourists off. Five stars from me, and I recommend it if you want peace, comfort and good service away from busy Manali.

Mukesh and Bunty were always ready to help with anything we needed, and the property was spotless and thoughtfully laid out. We loved the quiet location and the snow-covered peaks above the apple valley. Hotel Katoch Grand is a good fit for travellers wanting to avoid the noise and crowds around Manali Mall Road. We had a delightful stay and are already hoping to return during apple season. Highly recommended for the peaceful scenery.

The owner lives on site and makes sure guests are having a good stay, and the staff were helpful too. Our room was nice and the food very good. It's a budget hotel, but we had a comfortable, leisurely visit.
