This was my second time at Madpackers, and I came with my wife. We were hardly two or three guests there at the time, but it still felt like the caretaker didn’t bother with basic needs. It was like he was on vacation and enjoying our money. I asked him to arrange firewood, and he said he’d do it when he was available. We’re the guests, not you. There was no hot water or tea or coffee, the lighting wasn’t proper, and it felt like living in lockdown. I called the owner to report all this, but they didn’t bother to pick up. I’m totally disappointed. Please don’t go by the rating.

It’s close to cafés, riverside spots, and the main street, but still quiet, which made the location feel perfect. The hostel has a chill atmosphere, clean rooms, and really friendly, helpful staff. I had a comfortable, relaxing time, met some amazing people, and enjoyed the vibe. Definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Old Manali!

The view from the property was amazing, and the cozy dorms had great vibes. The staff were helpful and friendly. I had a solo trip at Madpackers manali, made friends there, and enjoyed it a lot. Really nice stay, and I definitely recommend this hostel.

The views from the lawn were serene, and the hosts were so warm and nice. We loved staying at this beautiful property in Old Manali, very close to the bus stop and Mall Road. It’s a lovely place to plan a stay.

Hussain deserves a mention for keeping everything running smoothly and making guests feel at home. Madpackers in Old Manali has that homey feel too, with incredible views from its quiet spot above the noise. Imagine waking up to snow-capped peaks outside your window. This is the place.
