The room view is awesome, and I liked how friendly and respectful the owner and staff were with guests. But there are too many flies in and around the room, and they can get irritating. Rooms weren't cleaned every day or each time there was a new check-in. It's also very far from the private bus stand, and an auto costs 600rs for the round trip.

For time in Old Manali, Manali hill house is well placed away from the bustle of Mall Road. There are plenty of hipster cafes and local shops just a few feet away. The hotel has great views and clean rooms, and the staff were hospitable and happy to point us in the right direction.

I spent three days at Manali Hills house with my family. The room we took was very clean, and all the rooms were good. Staff were helpful and the food was good too. I'd suggest staying here.

The owner is very polite, and the place definitely gives you a feel like home. The food, cooked by the owner's wife, was tasty and healthy, though overpriced. Since it feels more like a homestay, I think the pricing should change. The hotel was originally a joint venture between some Mumbai industrialists and a local Himachali. There were some issues, the Mumbaikar left the property, and as of January 2018 it was being maintained by the owner alone. Don't expect professional management, just local hospitality.

The mountain views here are breathtaking, and the team made us feel welcome with cheerful service and good food. We had a comfortable, enjoyable stay. Thanks to everyone there, and all the best!
