OYO 8724 Vashisht

Evenings were lovely, with a romantic view and a sky full of stars. The power did go out, but we still had a great evening by candlelight. The bedsheets weren't very clean, though. Also, getting there means climbing a steep slope, so be ready for that.

The balconies have some of the best views in manali, looking out at the himaalayaas and the beas river. Rooms are organized, well maintained, and look classy. The food is fresh and decent, and it's a great budget hotel, especially for couples after a romantic balcony. It's near vashisht temple and a little way from the town centre, but easy to reach by auto or cab. The downside is the steep walk up from the road, which could be difficult for older people or anyone with health issues.

The room was average, but the view from the gallery was awesome. The hotel is in an odd spot, with a walk to the lobby and not enough parking. Service was bad, and the food wasn't good at all. The sheets and pillow covers were dirty and used when I checked in. When I asked for clean ones, the receptionist said they were out of laundry and would change them tomorrow. They should improve the food and service.

The rooms were clean, and the staff were really helpful. The balcony view is mind-boggling. It's a few kilometers from the "Mall Road," and transport from the hotel isn't very frequent, so make sure you have your own vehicle or something.
