ManuAllaya the Resortspa Hotel

The dinner was especially good. Breakfast was more average, though the tea was amazing and worth trying. We booked a balcony room with a mountain view, and that view made the room well worth it. The hotel is in an excellent location, and the staff were polite, well-mannered, and always greeted us with a smile. I saw none of the problems mentioned in negative reviews. My stay at Manuallya was awesome, and I enjoyed it throughout.

Paying 21k for what I expected to be luxury at an Ambassador resorts property was a waste of money, time, and energy. The food and room quality were both terrible, the staff were rude, and there was no central heating, even though rooms costing 3k in Manali offer it. I felt my blood boil throughout the stay and couldn’t leave because I’d already paid so much. A childhood memory of mine was completely ruined by what felt like corrupt staff and mismanagement everywhere. The New Year party was laughable, a college bash would have been better, and the whole property felt cheap. I’ll be raising a complaint with Ambassador group and asking them to inspect the Manuallaya premise in Manali, because this is damaging the group’s reputation and the trust it has built. Regards

For four days, I asked every morning for fresh orange and pineapple juice, and never got it. The breakfast was also very low quality, nothing like what I’d expect from a highly rated property. I’m extremely disappointed with this stay. As a woman traveling alone, my biggest concern is safety. I was given a room with a broken door handle, which felt like a serious security red flag and made it impossible to feel safe. The staff were indifferent, and the service was poor. I don’t understand the 5-star reviews. At best, this is a 3-star property with 2-star service. I’d never stay here again, and wouldn’t recommend it to any woman traveling alone.

The view here is the best I’ve seen in Manali. The experience is on another level, and I’d like to come back next time.
