Prem looked after the property and was so helpful. He made us delicious parathas for breakfast, and Gandharv's suggestions for places to explore helped make the trip memorable. From our room balconies, we could see snow-capped mountains, an absolutely stunning view. We had a fantastic, peaceful stay at Monkwood House, while still being close to Manali's lively food scene. I'd highly recommend it to anyone after that kind of getaway.

Gandharva was a great host, always reachable by phone or message, and Bablu was active and cooperative. The rooms are spacious and nicely done, and it's a beautiful property right by the roadside, so there's little walking to do. My husband and I stayed for two days starting 19 April 2025. We enjoyed it and would strongly recommend staying here.

We stayed at Monkwood House for three days, and I'd gladly return. The cottage sits just a few steps from the main road, yet it feels peaceful and secluded. Our spacious, well-kept room looked out over mountains and greenery, a lovely setting for a relaxing break. The host was warm and welcoming, and made sure we were comfortable. The cook's home-style meals were delicious, so there was no need to go far for good food. I highly recommend it for a short visit or a longer stay in Manali. It really felt like home.

The view from our rooms was amazing, and there was hot water all the time. Each room has a TV, which I thought was a nice touch. The electricity went out often, but came back in about 10-15 minutes or sooner. Prem, the staff member looking after the place, was always ready to help. My family and I loved the rooms. The beds weren't as bouncy as hotel beds, but they were still comfortable. We had a fantastic stay at the monkwood house. Definitely recommend!

Rohan Samuel made us feel welcome and kept us company during our stay. He also suggested great places to see, and we brought home lovely memories, all thanks to him. His home-cooked meals were delicious, a great fit for us since we like trying local food on vacation. The stone entrance is lovely, and our room was spotlessly clean, with a good atmosphere and spectacular views. Monkwood house, Manali felt like affordable luxury, and I would definitely call it that.
