The manager took a long time to come over when I called him after finding chicken in my Paneer Tikka Biryani. He looked at the plate, removed the piece without explaining what had happened, then later blamed a new staff member. That excuse doesn’t make this okay. The hotel is responsible for its staff, supervision, kitchen practices, and food safety. I’d repeatedly asked the manager, staff, and waiters whether vegetarian and non-vegetarian food was cooked separately in different vessels, and whether the veg dum biryani was completely vegetarian. Since it was Wednesday and I strictly avoid non-veg, I ordered only after they assured me it was. The dish was cold and stale. I complained, they took it away and brought it back just the same, as if it had only been reheated. Finding chicken in it after all those assurances was a serious breach of trust and disrespectful of customers’ beliefs and dietary practices. For strict vegetarians it could also be unsafe. They shouldn’t make these assurances if they can’t keep the food separate. This was deeply disturbing, and I strongly wouldn’t recommend the place.

The starters were disappointing, with small portions that felt expensive for what we got. The biryani, though, had good flavor, and the ambiance was pleasant. A good spot for biryani, but the starters could use work.

The meal and the setting made for a memorable date. Hotel Northinn has a stylish, comfortable atmosphere, and the biryani was richly flavored, well cooked, and served in a generous portion. The shakes were great too. Service was polite and attentive, though my order took longer than I expected. Prices are a bit high, but I felt the food, atmosphere, and service made it worth it. A nice choice for biryani and shakes in a more refined setting.

We got there at 8:45 pm, and it was quiet with a nice atmosphere. Service was average. The chicken 65 could've used more spice and salt, while the cashew chicken was spicy and good. They brought the curd rice straight from the fridge, so it was cold, but the pomegranates they added made it taste good.
