Star Palace Hotel

The rooms and common areas were very clean, and the staff kept things running smoothly as a team from the moment we arrived. They responded promptly and showed real care for what guests needed, with warm hospitality throughout. We had a highly satisfying stay and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant, dependable place to stay.

The food was excellent, and room service and the other amenities were high quality. Staff were very cordial, and the accommodation was extremely good. I’m differently abled and found the washroom difficult to use. There is a ramp, and the lift serves all floors. Highly recommended 👍

Parking was okay, the only reason I’m giving one star. From outside the hotel looks decent, but inside it was a different story: the rooms didn’t meet the mark, felt overpriced for such basic standards, and smelled foul. The lobby, corridors, and even our room had a bad odor, maintenance was poor, and bathroom hygiene and general cleanliness were unacceptable. Breakfast was very bad, with limited choices and poor quality. There was no live counter, yet the rates were similar to a 5-star property. The place felt more like a basic 1-star hotel. The security guard also behaved unprofessionally and charged an extra commission to arrange an auto to Rameswaram Temple. The fare was around ₹150, but we were charged ₹250, which felt highly unethical. Highly NOT recommended.

Dining was a highlight for us: the food was delicious, with an amazing variety. The lobby looked elegant, and the staff were welcoming, attentive, and warm. Our room was comfortable and cozy, with stunning views and a peaceful feel. Arman and Neervati made extra efforts to look after people, and their care came through in every interaction. I wish them both success ahead. The hotel has a unique vibe, and it was a lovely break from the busy city. Maybe if I travel to Rameshwaram again, I’ll choose it.
