Samudra Bilas Resort

The children’s playground kept my child happily occupied, and the swimming pool was a lovely extra for all of us. We stayed with family for two days in two rooms, and the atmosphere was friendly. The staff were helpful and welcoming. I hope to visit again.

Our premium cottage had all the amenities, and the resort is well placed with its own passage to the beach. We still felt it was worth staying overall, based on our experience. The food was average, though costly, as it is at other resorts too, so check the bill carefully before signing the order slip or paying, since there may be discrepancies. Pool use is limited to two four-hour slots, 10am-2pm and 5pm-9pm. When it’s busy, the pool can be congested and occupied by people drinking and dancing, leaving little chance to enjoy it with family. If you ask to swim in the morning or between the set hours, they smile but stick to their own rules.

10/10, I really want to come back. Everything was almost perfect and just amazing. The one thing they could improve is the view of the uncut grassland around the hotels from the balcony, which could be made prettier.

I stayed at Samudra Vilas in Mandarmani. The room was available for 2003. I checked in on 17/07/2025 at 10.30 am and checked out on 14/07/2025 at 10 am. After leaving, I suddenly remembered that I had left my platinum diamond ring on the room’s center table. I called the manager right away and told him. He said he would speak to the sweepers and let me know. Later, I was told the ring wasn’t on the table. We returned to the room, searched, and asked the sweepers. They denied that my ring had been there and said we could do whatever we wanted. I then contacted the resort’s general manager, who said he would look into it, but neither he nor the manager helped us. The staff behaved very badly. I’m posting this to warn the public: I wouldn’t recommend going to this resort, and if you do, be very careful with valuables. I worry that something valuable could be stolen during room cleaning because of people’s carelessness.
