We’ve stayed at Dolphin twice in a room with a sea view, in a really nice, quiet area of the beach. The view of the beach and sea is fabulous, but the room and toilet were in quite bad shape and haven’t been maintained. That might be manageable for just a night or two. The bigger problem is the noise: both times, other guests made a racket in the middle of the night, and nobody was around to quiet them down. What could have been a peaceful stay was turned upside down on both visits. Sigh.

The location is the only reason I’m giving one star. The place was dark and dingy, with too few lights, and the cleanliness was nowhere near good enough. Manager Cecelia was pleasant to be around and helped as much as she could. We paid around 3.5k, but got no services or amenities compared with other places. Nearby resorts are a hundred times better for cleanliness and amenities. Google doesn’t really take you the right way, parking is a real pain, and you have to walk down to the resort with your luggage.

We had a great time here, and the property is right on the beach, almost like having a private beach. I visited at the start of March. The place deserves five stars, but I’m giving four because the hotel food wasn’t that great, though it was good.

When I called Robert to cancel our two-day dolphin resort booking, he said we still had to pay for one night. I’d already paid him an advance a month earlier, and told him to deduct whatever percentage he wanted. He started shouting, asking if I was traveling for the first time, then yelled, “Cut the phone, don’t spoil my day.” My girls and I had planned a trip to Goa, but had to cancel for some reason. Who speaks to a customer like that? I hope something spoils his day.
