Rukmavati Guest House

We liked OSHO Restaurant nearby, and there are several good sights around Mandvi, including Vijay Vilas Palace, the beach, and the Shipbuilding Museum. During our stay at Rukmavati Guest House, Mr. Vinod arranged local sightseeing with Mr. Mehboob, who was great to explore with. His family does traditional local embroidery, and he can show you some beautiful authentic craft. The guest house itself is simple, clean, and well placed for exploring. Mr. Vinod made things easy and was genuinely helpful. He also arranged delivery to Bhuj after someone in our group left a gold chain in the room. A comfortable stay with kind people, and I’d recommend it.

Mr Vinodbhai, the owner and only caretaker, was very supportive and helped us find our way around the city. The rooms are basic but spotless, with private bathrooms and a choice of AC or fans. There are family rooms and different bedding arrangements for groups. Rukmavati Guest House is simple and well run, and the host’s kindness really stands out. It’s a good value base for Mandvi’s history and coastline.

Uncle ji treated us with so much warmth and care that we felt like family. We had a wonderful stay, and my child enjoyed it a lot. Wishing him good health and happiness.

We came from Punjab with our family and stopped by to look at hotels after reaching Mandvi. The older man at the counter was stubborn from the start, and stayed negative while showing us the rooms. They looked old and shabby. He quoted 1500 for a room for four; when I asked if he could lower it, he suddenly told us to leave and started locking the gates, saying he couldn’t give us a room. Every room was vacant, and I’d been polite the whole time. I don’t recommend this place, especially if you’ve traveled a long way. Don’t prebook. 1/10.
