Hotel Green Park Suites

The food was good, and the staff were polite with smooth service. Hotel Green Park Suites is convenient for getting around the city while still being calm and peaceful. I had a comfortable stay.

It’s a good option for a short visit, especially if you want to stay centrally. The rooms are budget friendly and roomy: three people can fit in a larger one, while a solo visitor can choose a smaller room. There was enough parking, or they would help make space. Food isn’t served directly; it comes through outside providers, so you have to wait and pay right away. Everything is nearby, including hostels and colleges. An auto-rickshaw can be costly, so renting a two or four wheeler may work better. This could suit a first timer or someone who visits their child in Manipal often.

I booked online and made a special request for early check-in. When I arrived at 7 am, they refused and said online bookings could check in only at 2 pm, even though rooms were vacant. I told them I’d leave at 7 pm that same day and asked either to be allowed in or just to use the washroom to bathe. They refused both. I was travelling alone as a woman, and as a regular visitor, I found their response lacking basic humanity. All they said was not to book online. What’s the point of booking online? On my last two visits, I booked offline, but they showed me only deluxe AC rooms, the most expensive ones, which I didn’t need since I’d be leaving that night. I felt cheated by both the male and female receptionists. I don’t recommend this hotel anymore. Worthless and inhumane people. I’d give it a zero rating.

The hotel is in a convenient spot at Tiger circle, close to MIT campus, restaurants, and stores. My room was spacious and tidy, hot water was available all day, and the room service food was good. Reception and service staff were warm, courteous, and prompt. The switches needed a really hard press to work, and the bathroom could use nonskid mats. Still, I had a good experience.
