The rooms were decent, but the towels were stained and felt rough. There’s not enough milk powder in the packets to make a proper refreshment, so they should provide more. The place sits a little outside the city, which also means it’s less crowded.
The peaceful setting and complimentary breakfast made for a really nice stay, and the location was convenient. Our room was a bit small, but it was clean and comfortable, and the friendly, helpful staff made up for the limited space. Itsy Hotels Vijaya Residency in Udupi was better than we expected.
The smell in room 114 was so disgusting I couldn’t stay in there for five minutes. I asked for another room, but at reception Mallikharjuna brushed it off and told me to contact treebo support. The rooms aren’t properly maintained, and the WiFi was awful. After spending so much, this was an unacceptable experience. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. If you have no other option, inspect the room first and only pay once everything looks okay.
The place needs maintenance. Some plug points are broken, the ceiling fan regulator doesn’t work, and there’s no power backup. They don’t provide toiletries or the complimentary water bottle, and you have to ask for the complimentary tea and coffee pouches.
I only stayed one night. The first room wasn’t good, but they moved me to another one when I asked. The service staff were good, though the hotel and its rooms are poorly maintained.
