OYO 49294 Skyway Inn

The location is the only good thing. Rooms are small, dirty, and smelly, and the service is average.

The location, right in the city center, was the only plus. The suite I booked based on the photos turned into a nightmare, with cockroaches roaming around at night. The bedding was dirty and made me itch in the middle of the night. There was fungus all over the unpainted walls, and the room felt extremely humid. Room service was very poor, and the staff didn’t know English or Hindi. For that kind of service, 2k is too much. Please don’t book here.

The hotel's location is good, but the rooms were full of cockroaches. Switch on the lights at midnight and, according to my experience, you’ll find many around, even in the bed. Once you see them there, it’s hard to sleep. The sheets, pillowcases, and blankets were stained and torn, and felt as if they hadn’t been washed or replaced for years. The rooms were moldy, the paint was peeling, and both the rooms and washroom had a foul smell like an old godown or abandoned theatre. Outside it may look decent enough for a day’s stay, but inside it felt like a property that was 100 years old. The reviewer suggests the older good reviews came from when management knew about cleanliness and hygiene, and says the recent reviews give a clearer picture. I wouldn’t suggest it even for solo travellers, let alone families.

The rooms smelled foul, with mold and a cigar smell, and stank worse than ordinary rooms despite being described as deluxe AC and suite rooms. There’s no lift, the service was poor, and the front desk person was rude. Even after I asked several times, they didn’t provide an extra bed. I wouldn’t recommend this place for families.
