I’m reviewing the booking experience only, since I never stayed there and can’t speak to the facilities or service. I went to the property in April 2025 and booked with the caretaker, who promptly wrote down our January 2026 dates in a diary. I was told I could pay the advance later. When I returned last week, in September 2025, I found out that someone abroad had booked the same dates through an online site. They accept reservations through several channels, and it seems those channels may not be coordinated. Even if you’re told your booking is in place, it may not be final, so keep checking. The reply to my review is right that I haven’t stayed there. I can send screenshots, but they’re personal communications and wouldn’t be relevant as photos of the property. There was at least one double booking. The double booking itself wasn’t what upset me most. No one corrected it or told me for months. I’m glad I checked while there were still a few months to spare. My three stars are for the location and the building I saw when I went to book.

The house itself is good, but its bedrooms are all on different levels and there’s none on the ground floor. I wouldn’t stay again if I had a choice. The website says every bedroom has air conditioning, but when we checked in, only six were air-conditioned, and none seemed to cool properly. The response when I raised it was basically, “this is it.” I found the filters in all the indoor units were dirty, so we had to take them out and clean them ourselves before the units started working. The pillows were dirty too and seemed not to have been washed after the previous guests. After we complained, they quickly replaced the pillowcases.

Good location and very nice rooms, but the upkeep needs work. Some locks, including bathroom door locks, don’t work. Bathroom cleanliness could be better, and rooms should be mopped regularly so dust doesn’t build up.

Two stars for the building alone. Breakfast was awful: just poori and a cup of tea, and the pooris seemed to have been brought in and left out. They were so dry and hard I could barely chew them. Two of my relatives vomited on the way back. What a cruel experience. I’ve never been to a worse place.
