Bonjour Bonheur Ocean Spray

We had a really good breakfast, and the restaurant staff were excellent and polite. Special thanks to Priyanka and Manoj for their service, and to restaurant executive Mr. Tamilvelan for managing things well. The chef and his team helped make our stay wonderful. It’s a very nice, big property with good rooms and views, and the water body is excellent. Thanks to all the staff.

The food had plenty of variety and was delicious, and service was warm, attentive, and always with a smile. Special mention to the restaurant staff member who was so active and attentive. The property and its serene surroundings made for a delightful getaway. Every detail made the experience feel special, and I left refreshed and eager to return. Ocean Spray is one of the best places to relax, rejoice, and rejuvenate. Thanks, Ocean spray, for turning moments into memories.

The beach was secluded and just a four-minute walk from the back of the property, with some fishing nets and boats around. Getting rides to and from Pondicherry town could be a hassle because Uber availability was limited, though the hotel can arrange transport. We also saw filming for a Hotstar series while we were there. Cool December weather, with drizzle on the first day, added to the resort’s lovely feel. We had a great four-night stay. The rooms seemed spacious and well appointed, facing the artificial lake and pools. Breakfast was a generous spread, and room service was satisfactory. There are indoor activities and some geese on the property. Manu looked after our dining needs well. The lunch and dinner menu at the restaurant was somewhat limited and rather pricey. This may be the best resort in or near Pondicherry.

We chose two water-view rooms for my son and me, and the stay was excellent from arrival to checkout. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well maintained, with especially spotless toilets. Housekeeping, the battery car operator, and the room boy were all polite and cooperative, helping whenever needed. The pool was a highlight, quite large, and the waterfall feature added charm. The restaurant and 24-hour coffee shop had an elegant feel. The resort is a little away from Pondicherry town, so it’s peaceful, but may feel distant if you plan to visit the city often. Food prices were on the high side, and the beach isn’t directly behind the resort, it’s about 400 to 500 meters away. Weekday rates are quite affordable, while weekends cost considerably more, like other premium resorts. I thoroughly enjoyed a memorable, relaxing stay with my granddaughter and family, and would consider visiting again.
