Motel La Grandeur

I was travelling with my family, including my mother and father, who are unwell, so I chose to leave immediately rather than risk more trouble. As tourists in Goa, we deserve some respect. Please don’t mislead people like this. Owner, please take strong action. Asif tried to fool us about the payment, then asked for more money and warned us that the hotel belongs to the local MLA. We said the MLA had nothing to do with us and that we only wanted a place to stay. He started arguing and threatening us. I’d rate this place zero stars and definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone reading this.

The second time was just as bad: the AC didn’t work at all, the staff wouldn’t help, and after waiting almost 45 minutes for the room to cool down, I asked to change rooms. The receptionist said they’d give me another room. When I asked to speak to the owner, he told me to do whatever I wanted, cancel my online booking and get a refund there. Pathetic service and rude behaviour. Cigarette smell was everywhere, the blankets had been thrown around, and the toilet seat cover was broken. I’d stayed twice for emergencies and booked an AC room both times. On the first visit, the AC didn’t work properly, there was no hot shower water, and around 3 AM some random call girl came to the hotel and shouted loudly in the corridor by my room, so I couldn’t sleep properly. Worst stay experience.

I managed to stay for about 4-5 hours because I had a 4 AM flight from Mopa. The reception guy was busy watching a movie. They first gave me a room card that was useless, then eventually handed over a physical key. This hotel could do well if they improved the service, since there are only a few hotels near Mopa.

The manager responded to all my needs, and service was prompt. The rooms are spacious, furnished well, and clean. The geyser, TV, and AC all worked nicely. 10/10 for everything, you should definitely visit this nice hotel.
