OYO 3305 Royale Assagao

We were able to get an early check-in because the staff cleaned the room quickly, which we appreciated. There was a small issue with how we were treated at the end of the stay, though. At Royale Assagao Resort, booked through Airbnb, the rooms were clean, neatly maintained, and just like the pictures. The bathroom was tidy and towels were provided. The location is convenient, close to Anjuna Beach, with plenty of rental cars and bikes nearby for getting around. The house had two large rooms, one with a swing, and two balconies that made it feel relaxed. Cooking facilities were handy too, including gas, a fridge, washing machine, plates, and utensils. We skipped the pool because it didn't look clean to us. It was a comfortable stay, and I'd recommend it. 10/10.

The pool was the main letdown at Royale Assagao Resort. We expected it to be usable based on reviews, but it was very dirty and clearly not maintained, and the lounging area beside it was unclean too. The society also felt quiet and lifeless, with an empty building right opposite that seemed odd. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and well cared for. Housekeeping was good, the balcony was nice, and the blankets and other basics worked fine. The location was practical, with nearby markets and shops still open around 11:00 PM for daily essentials. The caretaker was polite, helpful, and supportive throughout. So despite the pool and surroundings, my experience was positive overall. Better pool upkeep would have made it even better. 4 out of 5.

Our host was extremely rude and had double-booked us, so we had to move to another room early in the morning. That room was dusty and badly maintained. The first room had cockroaches, a clogged sink drain, and the pool wasn't kept up either. Room cleanliness seems to depend on the host. Choosing this stay was the worst part of our whole trip.

The pool was excellent, and the location worked perfectly for reaching the main beaches. The property was spotless and beautifully looked after, with lovely aesthetics. Room service was helpful too. Highly recommend it.
