Mojigao Eco Resort

After a month here, I left feeling better than ever, thanks to the lovely staff. My mornings usually meant three hours of yoga, two on weekends, then a refreshing shower and a good breakfast with eggs, a shake, and a double espresso. I’d plan the day, then either come back for dinner, often goat cheese ravioli, or return late to total peace when nobody else was around. Sometimes I’d finish with another double espresso and cake or chocolate ice cream. The bed and shower were both good, which mattered to me. I’ll be back next year, hopefully to enjoy the swimming pool. ;)

We came for breakfast, mainly to take in the views and atmosphere, and both were absolutely worth it. The food was decent, though nothing exceptional. It’s one of the few places open early, around 7:30 AM. There’s a distinctive charm to the place, with beautiful corners throughout and a particularly striking handwash area. I also liked the natural cooling system. Downstairs, you can explore a small library, a gym, and a few other interesting spaces.

It feels like being right in the jungle, with beautiful cottages, good food, lovely staff, and real peace and quiet. I’d go back in a heartbeat, and recommend it to anyone wanting a Goan stay away from the commercialised chaos. The menu could use more options, since it might feel limited on a longer visit. I also would have appreciated advance notice about the construction. To be fair, they moved me to a new cottage as soon as I mentioned it. Those are minor suggestions.

The rooms were good and the staff kind and helpful. We were busy at a nearby workshop and only used the place to sleep, so we didn’t get to use any other services. A few things could be improved. The room didn’t have regular tea, milk, or sugar, though I’m not sure if there was a particular reason. Breakfast was listed as starting at 7 am, but when I went to the breakfast area at about 7:10 to check for tea, it wasn’t set up yet. It might also be possible to offer a different rate card for guests visiting for work. Thank you!
