What made our Matheran stay so enjoyable was the setting at Regal hotel. Greenery surrounds the resort, and the main gate is conveniently close to horses for trips to the sightseeing spots. We booked a super delux ac room, which was spacious, tidy, and had a lovely balcony view. There are other room types too. The meals were full of flavor, and you could tell care went into every dish. Harsha mam was especially thoughtful and attentive to guests throughout breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was a relaxing, luxurious family break, and we’d recommend the place to anyone visiting Matheran.

The property feels modern and is beautifully designed, and the staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. We found the rooms clean and well looked after. The food was excellent, and the service stood out as well. We had a wonderful stay at Ame Regal Hotel in Mathera and would gladly recommend it to anyone visiting Matheran.

The food could be better, and the music by reception was much too loud. People come to Matheran for the silence and the sounds of nature. The ambience itself is beautiful.

I paid around 9k for one night, so I expected a well-maintained room and proper amenities. Instead, the room was poorly kept, with only a towel, soap, and shampoo supplied, and they charge extra for a bisleri bottle. The food was just okay and the choices were limited. The swimming pool wasn't maintained well either, and the games room felt like it was open just for appearances. For that price, the hotel is overrated and overpriced, with no real amenities. If you want a good stay as well as somewhere to spend your money, I'd avoid it.

We had a good family stay at Regal hotel in Matheran. The staff were polite and really helpful, and the food was tasty with plenty of choices. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The swimming pool and badminton court were also kept in good shape. The hotel is close to the market, and we enjoyed our time there.
