The rooms were clean, and the food was tasty without being expensive. Everyone was helpful, from the manager right down to the watchman. The staff really seemed focused on service, not money. Hard to put into words how good they were.

I looked up the word Brijwasi before my stay. It means someone who lives in or belongs to Brij, the sacred region linked to Lord Krishna's childhood and divine pastimes. Brij or Braj refers to that region, and wasi means someone who lives there or belongs there. It can also mean a native or devotee of Brij. After visiting a Mathura temple, I stayed here for the night before continuing on to Veindhavan and Gokul. The hotel felt upscale. It was very cold, so they arranged to install a heater in my room. The restaurant food was great, and they served beer and other drinks. The toilet was clean, and there was hot water, plus a kettle for making tea or coffee.

On 20th December 2025, the hot water system failed. The 10 of us in five rooms had a miserable time in the winter and had to shower in very cold water. Management didn't even offer buckets of hot water, which was ridiculous. Housekeeping staff were good, but the restaurant staff were stubborn and uncooperative. They rushed to close the restaurant exactly on time and showed no consideration.

The room was unpleasant because the toilet smelled bad. Also, there was no dormitory for drivers, which is something to consider if you're travelling with one. Drivers, be warned. 👎🤢🚗🚫

We booked two rooms with garden views, but got just one. They said they weren't obliged to give us garden view rooms. Apart from that, everything was fine. The stay at Brijwasi Lands was a good experience, with hygienic rooms and staff who behaved well and provided wonderful service.
