I stayed at Hotel Ganpati Palace, Mathura with my wife just 3 days ago, and it was extremely disappointing. The room was very dirty, and the washroom smelled foul and was in horrible condition. The TV, set top box, WiFi, and geyser weren’t working at all. I booked after seeing the online photos, but the actual room and washroom were the complete opposite. I’ve attached real photos for people to judge for themselves. Does this look like a 3-star hotel? Definitely not. The staff were rude and highly unprofessional, and didn’t know how to speak politely to guests. They call this a 3-star property, but to me it isn’t even worth 1 star. I’ll never recommend it. If you want a comfortable and safe stay in Mathura, I strongly advise staying away.

The rooms are dirty and unhygienic, and the service is pathetic. I’ve added a few photos because the images on Agoda and other websites are misleading. The management is a complete failure, and I’d give the hotel 0 start. It’s a big NO at whatever price range you find it. The TV doesn’t work, they don’t provide hot water, and the water smells. If you’re planning to stay with your family, please don’t. Refrain from booking this hotel.

The rooms were clean and good, the location was easy to find, and the food was tasty without costing too much. The service, though, was very poor. Reception spoke to us roughly, and when we first asked for a room they showed us a different one. After we showed the online booking, they said we had booked a deluxe room and the one we had seen was super deluxe. They also didn't provide a tea or coffee maker, which I usually get in other hotels when booking a deluxe room.

The rooms smelled bad, weren't clean, and looked nothing like the photos. I’d check the washroom and kettle, along with the other facilities, before paying. At booking, we were given one set of commitments, but at checkout they demanded extra money that hadn't been mentioned. The person handling checkout denied what had been agreed, and we ended up involving the police to sort out the payment dispute. It was very stressful. This felt like extremely poor management and misleading business practice, so I definitely wouldn't recommend the hotel.
