The food was only okay, and they charged more than the menu price. They didn’t give me a printed bill for either the room or dining. I checked out at 7 AM after a horrible stay at Hotel Maharana Palace, next to PNB & Axis Bank. It was my first visit to Mathura for work, and I booked through MMT for around 1700 including GST. The rooms were awful and unclean. In the morning, the tap ran dry. After about 30 minutes in the bathroom, water finally came, but it took around 25 minutes to fill one bucket, which I used just to freshen up and brush my teeth. I couldn’t even bathe, despite paying 1700. If Google had a negative rating option, I’d have used it. Don’t book this place at any cost. I’d rather sleep at the railway platform than pay 1700 for one night here, and I’ll never recommend it. I’ve attached pictures of the room and bathroom.

There was no room cleaning before we arrived, and the hotel provided neither toiletries nor towels. The flush didn’t work. The bed smelled bad, was very poor quality, and sank almost to the floor on one side when someone lay down. We were tired and had no other option but to take the room rather than go looking for something better. This shouldn’t be called a hotel. The staff seemed to treat certain groups of people in a somewhat racist way, even though those guests bring the business and deserve thanks. Staff need proper training in basic hospitality etiquette.

The room was good and the complimentary breakfast was really tasty. We stayed from 18/12 to 20/12/25, and the location worked well too. The front desk staff could be more customer-friendly.

Mr Pradeep was really helpful, taking care of me and sorting out any questions I had. The hotel is in a very good spot, and the room was spacious, with a big bed. The Wi-Fi was excellent, five stars. I highly recommend it.
