Hotel Sheetal Regency

The kids were especially happy with the pool, and everyone enjoyed the breakfast buffet, with its variety and fresh choices each morning. We stayed for two nights as a family, and the rooms were roomy, clean, and comfortable. Extra towels and pillows were already there, and housekeeping kept things spotless. The staff were welcoming and helpful from check-in on, always smiling. The location was convenient and the amenities were top-notch. We had a fantastic, stress-free trip and would happily stay again or recommend it to families.

The restaurant was a bright spot, with good food and okay service, and the location was good too. But both of the rooms we booked were filthy, with dust and hair everywhere. It was unpleasant sitting on the couches or getting into bed. The kettle was dirty, the fridge had mould, and the carpets and mats were old and soiled. There were even chewed cardamom and clove leftovers on a bedside table, still there from earlier guests. When I raised all this at checkout, reception just said they'd see, so I don't know if anything will be done. I had trusted this hotel based on other reviews, but I would never recommend staying here. Choose somewhere else if you can.

It's near Gate No. 3 of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura, and the service was good. The restaurant food tasted nice, but it was highly overpriced. After each bill payment I got a phone message saying I'd earned points worth money toward a discount on the next bill. Reception then told me I had to spend at least ₹1000 on food in one go to use the offer, which seems unreasonable and impractical for one person. Free Wi-Fi was advertised, but I couldn't use it at all during my three-day stay. Staff came to my room and still couldn't get it working. Later at reception, they took my phone, switched on Wi-Fi, and gave the hotel a five-star rating without asking me. I stopped them, and it turned into an argument. I found that behavior extremely disappointing.

The staff were professional and easygoing, and the atmosphere felt familiar. The food was fresh and tasty, including vegetarian Jain options. Rooms felt luxurious, everything was clean, and the location was perfect. One of the best in Mathura, in my view. Must visit. Dr. Rakhi Sharma New Delhi, India
