Hotel Metro Regency by OYO Rooms

There were no breakfast choices available in the early morning, around 7-8am, and the staff lacked basic hospitality skills. The room AC was practically useless, so getting a good night’s sleep was impossible. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The location felt unsafe and unpleasant, and I was uncomfortable staying there. The room was dirty and poorly maintained, far from reception, and inconvenient to reach. The toilet was unhygienic and had no exhaust system. Towels and handwash weren’t provided when I requested them, and staff rudely said those weren’t provided for online bookings. I ordered coffee to see what the pantry was like, and it was worse than expected. They charged ₹1200 for only 6 hours, which didn’t seem justified given the property’s condition. It was a horrible experience. I’d strongly avoid this place. A railway dormitory would honestly be a better option. I’d rate it below zero if that were possible.

I booked through the agoda app, but a few minutes later received an email saying the booking was cancelled. When I asked about my refund, they said it would come within 7 days. Later, I received an email asking how my stay and the services had been, as though I’d stayed there. When I contacted them, they said the booking had been confirmed and that not checking in was my fault. I never got a message or email confirming the booking, so how was I supposed to know? These people are frauds. If you want to keep your money safe, don’t book here.

It was our first visit to Meerut, and from the day we arrived at metro plaza regency, check-in was friendly and hassle free. They brought whatever we needed quickly, and the food was especially awesome. I personally recommend visiting whenever you’re in Meerut. It’s in a hot spot location too.
