I’d recommend Doab Villas instead for weddings or other celebrations. Mars Resort’s staff were rude, unqualified, and unprofessional. The wedding venue felt like a scam: decorator Adil made big promises when we signed but delivered nothing. Our Mars coordinator, Gaurav, also seemed unqualified and had a very bad attitude.

The room access setup caused needless trouble for our wedding guests. Each room came with just one key card, and that same card was needed to use the lift, so people kept having to take the stairs. For a premium resort hosting big events, multiple cards seem like a basic convenience. We also had serious problems with the wedding dinner. We’d said before booking that food mattered most and chose the Gold Menu at over ₹3000 per plate, expecting a high standard. The meal fell well short of what was promised and didn’t match the price. The catering manager seemed more intent on closing dinner quickly than serving guests properly. At the bride and groom’s table, only 3 of the 10 menu vegetables were served. When we asked for sweets, he replied, “Pehle dinner toh kar lo, seedha sweet khaoge kya?” It was shockingly unprofessional toward the host family. The décor was another letdown. We chose Mr. Sajal on the property’s recommendation, one of only two decorators allowed, since using another meant an extra ₹50,000. We gave him a detailed PPT with ideas for the entrance, stage, pathway, and overall theme. He said the references were his own work and that he could reproduce them easily. We paid the full amount without negotiating, but he didn’t deliver a single promised element. It looked like décor from earlier events with a few additions, and the promised car decoration never happened despite our reminders. The bride had dreamed about her wedding décor, and Mr. Sajal turned it into a nightmare. When confronted, he got aggressive instead of apologizing or trying to fix things. Think carefully before choosing him. There were some good points. The resort has a premium look, pleasant ambience, and well maintained rooms. Staff were generally polite, check-in was smooth, and reception helped accommodate arriving guests. Ms. Shikha had been considerate and reassuring during our discussions. The property has the infrastructure and potential for lovely events, but food management, decorator accountability, and guest convenience need major improvement. For a premium price, the execution didn’t meet our expectations.

Don’t book this resort for your wedding if Mr Sajal, SJ Events and Decor is your coordinator or representative. He promised things that weren’t delivered, and the decorations were poor, with most of the items missing. It was a complete waste of money. Find other decorators if you don’t want your wedding and its décor ruined.

A peaceful, refreshing setting for spending time with family or friends, and the price is reasonable. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well kept, with the basic amenities. Staff are polite and cooperative, and the food is tasty, hygienic, and has a good range of choices. The pool and outdoor area are enjoyable and maintained well. Mars Resort makes for a comfortable getaway, especially for weekend trips and celebrations.
