Great Hornbill Serviced Villa , Nilambur

Sham was so kind and showed us around the area, while Pradeep kept checking that we had everything we needed, always with a smile. Our room was comfortable and the atmosphere was lovely. The food was delicious and carefully prepared with ingredients from nearby. We really loved staying at Great Hornbill Resort and would recommend it wholeheartedly.

The private stream and swimming pond were highlights for our family, especially the kids. The property is surrounded by peaceful nature, and Shyam's thoughtful hospitality made our trekking and time by the stream memorable. The food was excellent in taste and quality, though we did find the prices a little high. There was no compromise in the preparation, and every dish was delightful. Thanks to the Great Hornbill team, and especially Mr. Shyam for looking after us so warmly. We had a fantastic holiday and hope to return.

The rooms are spacious, but the amenities were average. What makes Great Hornbill worthwhile is being outside: forest walks, trekking, the wild stream, and the farm. They also sell fresh coconut oil from their farm and honey collected from the forest. We went as a family and had a great time. Mr Mohammed Sham is a lively, many-sided adventurer and explorer, and he knows the jungle, the wild stream, and the local plants and animals. He has plenty to share on treks, and his presence brings the place to life. The chef is attentive, polite, and good at his job. Ananthu deserves a mention too. He had just finished 12th and was working part time to support his studies, and he was mature, well mannered, and helpful. A good family trip, especially for nature lovers looking to get away from city life.

There were 11 of us, and we had a great time. The setting and ambience were lovely, and cooling off in the streams and pool was a treat. The food was outstanding, and the support staff were incredibly courteous and helpful.
