Artist Cottages

The rooms have a lovely rustic, vintage look and an artistic feel, and there’s a fun bar nearby with a San Francisco party vibe. But I wouldn’t stay here again. The dogs along the resort wall bark at passing vehicles until 2 or 3 am, then keep howling and barking. The rooms are close by, so sleep is impossible, and it’s hardly a romantic setting. Breakfast was just an omelette and fruit, and on my second day they didn’t bother serving it at all. For this price, there are plenty of better resorts where you could still save money. I don’t see why anyone would choose this place at that rate, maybe if it were free, but even then I wouldn’t. For what I paid for two days, I found a whole apartment nearby for five days. If someone books here twice, I’d love to know why.

Staff were helpful and quick to respond, and the rooms were clean and tidy. Breakfast tasted great too. The beach is only a two-minute walk away. We were very happy with the stay.

The interiors suit the name “Artists Cafe”, and everyone was incredibly sweet and welcoming. Breakfast was fresh, nutritious, and delicious, and housekeeping was immaculate and very helpful. I also had some lovely conversations with Maymi. The place is right beside wonderful Morjim beach. I’ll definitely visit again.

We stayed one night during the off season. The well-kept cottages have a rustic look, and we enjoyed watching the rain from the little verandah outside ours. The beach is two minutes away. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for peace and quiet.
