Buena Vida Beach Resort

We were robbed here on 4rth dec 18 while asleep in our room, which was locked from inside. At 3.24 AM, three masked men entered and took a premium DLSR camera, 3 Smart Phones, Bluetooth speakers, wallets and a purse with money, Gov ID cards, and credit/debit cards, worth more than 2 lakhs. The resort had only one Security Gaurds, who was asleep, and the CCTV in front of our room wasn't working. There were no boundary walls, so anyone could enter without being watched. It's been 6months and we still haven't got our things back or a resolution. Oyo and everyone else have failed to support us. We're still struggling with the mental Trauma from what happened during our stay. Sharing this as a heads up. Stay here at your own risk.

The room was clean, the staff were helpful, and the resort was very close to Morjim beach. But the washroom smelled of humidity and had no exhaust fan, while the pool looked filthy, as if the water hadn't been changed in months. We were told that it was off season and staff were limited, so the kitchen menu would have fewer choices. When we arrived, though, the kitchen was completely shut, with nothing to eat or drink, not even tea or coffee. The room had tea and coffee pouches but no creamer or milk powder. We asked, but the resort didn't have any, so black tea or coffee was the only option.

The cottage wasn't cleaned even after I asked several times. The washroom smelled all the time, and breakfast choices were limited. They charged extra if you wanted another serving, unlike other resorts or hotels. Morjim Beach is only about 30 seconds away, though the cottages are a little small.

I visited a few years ago and still remember the trip fondly. The resort had a lovely atmosphere, with beautiful, cozy rooms. I'd visit again.
