Foxoso La Beach Resort

I’ve been here twice for events. The rooms are spacious and cottage-style, and there’s plenty of parking. The lawn is huge, with a lovely sea breeze, and the entrance lobby is mesmerizing. There’s direct access to the beach, where the sunset is beautiful and it’s less crowded. The resort also has a large pool, and the food was delicious.

The staff were high quality and always responded to whatever I requested. The dining room manager and the rest of the team were efficient and great, though I don’t know everyone’s names. A heartfelt thank you and a big hug ❤️ I found the facilities, amenities and cleanliness excellent for the price, and the location in GOA was excellent too.

The beachside location is truly excellent, and the property is quite large. That’s the only good thing I can say about Hotel Foxoso. Everything else was extremely disappointing. Our room was poorly maintained, with broken toilets and smelly washrooms. Dirty, stinky mattresses were left outside our room, which was unhygienic and unpleasant. The pool staircase was broken and unsafe. My husband nearly slipped and fell several times, and management seemed to ignore this serious safety issue. The hotel quoted ₹2100 plus ₹400 in night charges for an airport taxi at 7 a.m. When I called the same driver directly, he immediately offered ₹1500 without negotiating. It felt like a complete scam. I’d told the hotel ahead of time that our anniversary was on the 27th and my child’s birthday was on the 28th. They made no effort at all, no decoration or small gesture. In my ten years of travelling, hotels have usually done something thoughtful. Here, they didn’t even try. I’d also asked them to clean the room while we were out so my child could rest properly later. We came back two hours later and it was still dirty. The request had been completely ignored. The food was below average in quality and taste, too. This property isn’t worth the money. If you stay, do it for the location alone and lower your expectations for the rooms, service, cleanliness, safety, food and honesty. A very disappointing experience.

The beach right outside is genuinely good, and that’s the best part of the property. The rooms and washrooms need renovation, and they’re quite average for the price, definitely not up to the mark. The pool is very small and wasn’t very clean. Most of the food was average. The fish was good, but the chicken and paneer dishes were disappointing. Wi-Fi speed needs to improve, and prices should be lower. There are much better hotels in North Goa for less.
