Hotel Ameya

The desk staff were exceptionally rude. As a foreigner, I was subjected to lots of paperwork and unpleasant questions about my immigration status. I’ve had to fill out paperwork at other hotels in India, too, but the way I was spoken to here felt unprofessional. I’d look elsewhere unless you’re a local. The hotel is old, though the room was comfortable enough. It was clean, with fresh sheets, hot showers, and no bugs, and the cleaning staff arrived on time. The AC leaked, but the location in the heart of Dadar was excellent, with train and metro stations close by.

I stay here often when I’m in town for official visits. It’s centrally located, near the underground Dadar metro station, which connects to T1 and T2 airports, CST, and Mumbai Central railway station. The rooms are old but neat and clean, the staff are courteous, and the price is pocket-friendly. They only serve breakfast.

The front desk staff were very rude, and the place didn’t feel fit to host guests. It’s not worth it. Don’t choose it, you’ll have a very bad experience.

For the price, the toiletries were disappointing. There were no slippers, and the toiletry set was missing saving kits.
