Hotel Grand Skylight

The rooms are much smaller than you'd expect. The room is about 5 ft x 8 ft x 7 ft, and the bathroom is 3 ft x 4 ft x 5.5 ft, so it isn't suited to tall people. The double bed is smaller than a queen. The TV doesn't work, and you can't adjust the AC: turn it off if you're cold, or back on if you're sweaty. Even when other rooms were sitting there with their keys at reception, they wouldn't let me see or take one. Breakfast was basically street food, and the hotel has no kitchen. They buy all food from local roadside vendors, garnish it, and serve it, so hygiene is a myth. Prices are too high, even for tea or bottled water bought from a nearby vendor. Staff were rude and got offended when I asked for a blanket, asking me repeatedly why I wanted one. The blanket they brought had 16 cigarette burns, and returning it was a nightmare because they refused to take it back and said I'd done it. The hotel is in an alleyway, hard to find even for food delivery services, and it's a regular hangout for hooligans, local loafers, smokers, and drunks. It felt very unsafe to come with women. There isn't a kitchen, the staff are impolite, and the hotel is nowhere near the standard needed for a two-star rating on sites like Cleartrip, Yatra, and GoIbibo.

There are cockroaches and bed bugs all over this place, so expect sleepless nights. I booked through cleartrip, where breakfast was listed as free, but they said they don't serve breakfast. What they gave me was one tea and one 5rs Goodday biscuit packet. The TVs don't work properly, and the wifi won't connect. Avoid this hotel, not even for a bachelor stay. It badly needs a zero-star rating.

We arrived at 10 pm, after paying the full amount, and they had no room for us. An hour later they put us in a non-AC room, though I'd booked AC, and it was smaller than my bathroom. At 2 in the morning they moved us to an AC room that was only slightly bigger than my bathroom. Its AC switch was at reception, so you had to go there every time you wanted to operate it. There was one tiny window facing the corridor, which was useless. The place stank and the management were idiots. Hotel skylight was the worst experience of my life. I really hated it.

This is a very dirty hotel and a waste of money. The staff don't respect guests or know how to speak to them. They charge many times the price for things. I've also filed an action against him.
