I left after 24 hours of a four day booking. The owner said I'd get a refund, then refused once the time had passed. At check-in, he wouldn't take my credit card even though it had been accepted for the reservation, and after I paid cash he changed my room from a queen bed to two small twins. There are sanitation problems throughout the house. Two older men live at the location, which wasn't advertised, and both work on repairs during the day. I found the situation unsettling. I wish I'd trusted the older reviews describing their experience with the men living there. I would strongly discourage foreigners from staying here. This felt like a scam, and I'd urge anyone with a booking to cancel, even if there's a cancellation fee.

I paid, then left after just three hours. This felt like a low budget guest house or dorm, and I don't understand why it comes up in searches alongside four and five star places, or why it's called “Isec apartments” instead of rooms or a PG. Before arriving, I called the keeper to say I'd be there in 20 minutes and would call again at the gate. He was slow to answer both times, then asked if I was sure I had a booking and wouldn't come down. The building security guard saw me looking lost, checked my booking email and ID, and helpfully directed me to tower B. The apartment was poorly maintained, and the room was tiny and smelled like an old man had been staying there. I asked about another room and was told they were fully booked, though the guest book had no sign of that, and an online check showed other rooms available that night. So I felt the keeper had lied. There was an older keeper and a young man doing cleaning, and being alone with the two men hanging around felt uncomfortable. The keeper sat on the living room sofa, which was intimidating, and I couldn't use the common areas. The room had missing light bulbs, cracked walls, a poor kitchen, and a dirty little balcony with pigeon droppings. Construction at tower A, facing the garden, made things noisy and dusty. Outside by the parking lot, I saw what looked like a cemetery and a dirty, trash-filled, smelly river. It had a bad vibe. When I came back, I waited at the door for ten minutes because nobody answered. After I called the keeper's mobile, he woke up, dragged himself over, and let me in.

Everything else was perfect, and caretaker Mr. Ramanand was careful, honest, and provided good service. The linen, though, wasn't quite acceptable.

The atmosphere is lovely, and the staff are fantastic and make the place feel homely. Caretaker Ramanand Ji is a great host, very honest and caring, and always ready to help guests like family.
