J Hotel and Banquets

The location is good, but the rooms are small, the price is too high, and the staff are rude and uncooperative. I booked for my nephew's wedding and checked in late. No one helped with the luggage or showed us to the room. The man at reception just handed me the key and said to go in the morning. A lady was rude too, and when we asked for help with hot water in the bathroom, she started shouting. I still don't recommend it.

We paid ₹5,250 and it felt like a complete waste. The MMT listing promised a welcome drink, dental kit, iron, and ironing board, but none were provided. Breakfast had no real choice, just vada pav, pav bhaji, and one kind of halwa. The washroom was unhygienic and not clean, and there was no cleanliness or warm welcome. Truly pathetic experience. I'd never recommend this place.

We visited on 25.01.26 and ordered lunch. It took 01:30 hours to arrive, though the food quality was good. The location is good, in the market, but the rooms are just okay and the service isn't up to the mark. The ambiance needs improvement.

The staff are good, and room size is understandable for Mumbai, but the rooms are only just habitable. The tariff feels high for the size and amenities. It's fine for a solo stay or 1 or 2 days with friends, but I wouldn't recommend it for families. The surrounding area is very bad: dirty roads, a Muslim settlement, and Mumbai local train noise make it annoying. There isn't any gentle food available nearby.
