Metro Residency

The staff were rude and had no manners, and their talk was cheap and shameful. We had a bad experience in a dirty place with lots of cockroaches. When they cleaned the room, they stole our money.

This is one of the cheapest hotels in the region compared with other places renting rooms. I stayed for 1 day, and the experience was below average. At first I was given a room on the 1st floor, but the AC wasn't cooling properly and had run out of gas. The smell in there was very bad, so I shifted to a room on the ground floor. That one was okayish, though it still had a bit of a bad smell. Its AC cooled the room very slowly, but I got adjusted. The receptionist other than the manager was very irritating. He always had pan parak and seemed unaware of everything. He couldn't solve anything and didn't understand either.

The rooms are down in the basement, with no windows or phone coverage, so there’s no fresh air. At least the AC works. The bathroom smelled awful, and there were bugs in it. The place is on such a cramped lane that only one person can walk through at a time. There’s no room service either. Please don’t book just because the photos or rates look good. Choose carefully.

For Rs.1700, I suppose it’s acceptable, but the location is ordinary and not in a prime area. The room was clean, though small, and there wasn’t a table or anything like that. There are no windows. The AC worked, sort of, but didn’t cool much even at 18℃. Since the residency has no restaurant of its own, you can’t order tea or coffee after 7pm.
