OYO 17028 Hotel Aviva Residency

The basement dining area felt claustrophobic, and I didn't eat there once during my stay. It was a disappointing, unpleasant experience. My room was tiny and smelly, and the AC wasn't working properly, which made things difficult. It rained continuously for a day, and the place was already humid.

It's an okay place to stay. The rooms and linens could have been cleaner, and the food could be better. Service response gets 4/5, but the service itself is more like 2/5. Breakfast is in another building, and some staff aren't courteous enough to show you where it is the first time, so you'll have to find it yourself.

We booked through the OYO app but ended up with a poor room. There was no OYO branding, and the place looked shabby and unhygienic. The bathroom wasn't properly equipped, the washroom wasn't good, and there were water problems. They hadn't provided the OYO bathroom essentials kit either. It wasn't especially costly, but it was still bad value for money. Service was poor, and after this stay I wouldn't recommend the hotel.

A few years ago we were always happy to stay here, but things have changed. The service and hygiene are very poor now. The linens and bathroom weren't clean, there were water problems in the bathroom, and the lobby didn't smell good.
