OYO Rooms Colaba Near Post Office

We had booked a room for three and needed a third bed, but they gave us a room with a shared washroom instead. It was busy all the time and very unhygienic. The hotel smelled awful, and there wasn’t even room to fit another bed. We’d also paid 500 Rupees extra for an early check-in around 6:30 AM, but it wasn’t available when we arrived. They take things far too casually. After check-in, they told us to leave Hotel Everest in Colaba Mumbai and cancel because they wouldn’t allow a male and female to stay together, even though we weren’t a couple. They should have checked that before letting us in. They charged a 50% cancellation fee, then accepted 1000 Rupees in cash before allowing a 100% refund through MMT. They handled everything at the last minute, when we had no option but to leave and find somewhere else, and it wasted our whole day. Please remove this hotel from MMT, or customers may lose faith in MMT. Worst hotel experience I’ve had.

They charge 2200 Rupees for a deluxe room and 2000 for a standard room with a shared bathroom, but the place doesn’t feel worth that price. The bathroom and toilet weren’t very clean, and the room wasn’t cleaned regularly. If you want a better deal, try booking through online sites.

The building is very old and doesn’t look good, and although there’s a lift, it’s very old too. Service was average; the rooms are small but decent. They include breakfast, and transport options are good. The location is convenient, around 10-15 mins from gateway of India near Colaba.

The hotel is on the 4th floor, with a lift available. Rooms are small, and the entrance is on a street near the road. Staff were hospitable, and there’s free wi-fi and a basic breakfast. For the room prices, I’d say it’s good.
