Riva International by OYO Rooms

The restaurant food was delicious, and the breakfast buffet had lots of choices. The location worked well too, close to major attractions and public transport. My room was spotless, spacious, and nicely decorated, with all the amenities I needed. The staff were welcoming and ready to help with a smile. Check-in and check-out were both smooth, and I had a wonderful stay. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit.

There are lots of useful shops within walking distance, from safety pins to clothes and art supplies. The location is convenient, about 30 minutes from the airport and a 7-minute drive from Inorbit Mall. The drawback is the hotel sits inside a narrow street that can feel a bit sketchy and isn't well maintained. The rooms are average but livable, with AC, TV, and free Wi-Fi. None worked very reliably or well, but they were usable. Service was mostly good, though there were occasional delays. We couldn't order tea even at 9 AM and had to get it outside, while food orders were available until midnight. It was also off-putting to have to pay for everything on the spot, with room charges collected every day instead of all at once. I'd give it three stars. They could improve, but at a reasonable price, it's worth it.

I spent the last two nights at Hotel Riva International, and basic cleanliness was missing throughout. The bedsheets looked dirty and unwashed, the towel was torn, and they didn't provide a sleeping sheet. There was a bad smell everywhere, which got worse when the AC was on. The common washroom and basin were dirty too. It was a very disappointing, uncomfortable stay.

The main problem was poor upkeep and cleanliness. Rooms were described as dirty, with unclean towels and bedsheets. Guests mentioned drainage, stale, moldy, or “hookah” smells, broken or dirty bathroom fittings, missing soap and toiletries, and leaking AC. Some rooms were cramped, poorly lit, and had inadequate ventilation, while the AC, TV, doors, and locks could be faulty. There were also complaints about misleading listings, including the distance to Nesco Center, photos that didn't match the rooms, extra or hidden charges, paying twice, and menu prices not being honored. Guests said the prices were too high for what they got. Some found staff rude or unhelpful, and said requests or complaints weren't handled. The hotel was also described as hard to find in narrow lanes, with dirty surroundings, dangerous or slippery areas, and difficult or unavailable parking.
