Hotel Royal Castle

This was my first review for an MMT booking, and sadly the stay was terrible. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel. The rooms were unhygienic and had cockroaches, staff were rude and unprofessional, and they wouldn’t even provide an extra towel when I asked. Breakfast was poor, just one limited item, and it wasn’t available during the promised 7-10 AM window on MMT. It was brought in from outside and served in the room, and the quality was substandard. Despite MMT confirming the terms and emailing the hotel to honor them, I was charged an extra ₹1200 per night for my 11-year-old child. Since I was traveling with family and had already prepaid, I had no real option to change hotels at the last minute and had to pay. To make things worse, there were mosquitoes in the drinking water, and no sealed water bottles were provided. It was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

Don’t pay in advance. I lost 10k after paying upfront. My flight was cancelled, so I asked if they could at least extend my booking, but they refused and wouldn’t refund me either. I contacted them two hours before check-in and asked several times, but they still said there’d be no refund. I ended up waiting at the airport for one day and losing that money as well as the hotel amount. What can we do when we’re living among people who only care about money? It was a very bad experience.
