The greenery around the homestay made it feel peaceful and refreshing, and we had a wonderful stay. The host was helpful and well behaved throughout, and we loved the food and breakfast tea. There’s plenty nearby to do, including zipline, hot air balloon rides, and trekking spots within walking distance. The area has cafes and lots of veg and non veg food options, so although Munnar main city is about 11 km away, it didn’t feel isolated. It’s calm and good for relaxing, especially if you have your own vehicle. The last 100-200m to the homestay is on a narrow road.

The host was so kind about letting us leave our luggage in an empty room and come and go during the day, which helped a lot since our bus was late in the evening. We stayed only one night, but had a great time. The room was bright and lovely, with a hot shower and the most comfortable new mattress we’d had in three weeks of travel. There’s a shared balcony looking out toward the forest, plus a rooftop where we did yoga. Breakfast was AMAZING, home-style Indian food with the best appam. Thanks so much for everything.

The owner made us feel welcome and was genuinely kind. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. They offered complimentary tiffin and tea, a thoughtful touch. The food was hygienic, delicious, and excellent quality. A pleasant stay with warm hospitality.

We liked the quiet setting at Athens Cottage, with plants, trees, and birds all around. The room was clean and comfortable, and the owners were lovely. They made us tasty dosas, offered coffee and tea, and arranged taxis for us twice. We really enjoyed staying here.
