I was very unhappy with Hotel Stop and would tell people to avoid it. They charge extra for housekeeping when you ask for a cleaning, and the rooms aren't cleaned properly in the first place. Basic hygiene seemed ignored. The food was awful, the worst I've tasted. They charged ₹200 for a small bowl of curry that wasn't even edible. The staff, including the so-called "chef," were rude and unprofessional, and one worker in particular behaved very badly. They kept asking for extra money for basic things like water, power, and lights. The reviewer's account also says the scam begins on arrival in Kerala, where local guys approach tourists with promises of low-cost rooms, then the trouble starts after check-in. This is my honest review: it felt like a scam aimed at tourists, especially in areas like Munnar. Don't trust local agents or anyone promoting the hotel. Avoid it if you want a stress-free trip.

The one thing going for this place is the location: it's close to all the sites, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, which was convenient. The rooms weren't clean, the bed and comforter smelled bad, and the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned properly. The toilet seat was broken and moved when sitting down, and the toilet clogged several times. There were frequent power cuts, and even basic things like towels and water weren't provided. The service team didn't respond either, so we had a bad experience.
