Green Shades

We ate delicious home-cooked breakfast and dinner, and the guesthouse team were kind and looked after us really well. The room was spacious, clean, and well maintained, with a huge terrace facing the cardamom plantation and forest. Sitting there and listening to the cicadas and other wildlife was wonderful. Check-in was quick and easy. The Wi-Fi was sometimes unreliable in the room and on the terrace, depending on the room and where you sat. Next door, Cinnamon Gardens Spices Plantation offers a very good tour. The homestay can also arrange a great jeep safari. Ask for Joby, who took us for a day to viewpoints over tea plantations, waterfalls, caves, and places where we could see bathing elephants close by.

We spent two nights here and really enjoyed it. The owners care for a well-kept spice garden full of flowers, spices, and fruit trees, with a huge cardamom plantation behind the main buildings. It felt authentic and welcoming. The owner and especially his assistant showed us around, explaining the plants and letting us taste spices straight from them. The food they cooked was delicious. A very unique experience.

Mr.George welcomed us, and Mr.Santosh helped us figure out where to go around munnar and also looked after breakfast. Santosh is truly a gem. We had delicious food, cozy beds, spacious attached washrooms, and nicely maintained surroundings. The rooms have views of the spice plantation, and there’s private parking. It’s around 8 km from Munnar. A great choice for families or couples, and we’ll definitely visit again. Thank you.

Green Shades is surrounded by nature, and we had a really relaxing stay. Santhosh took good care of our requests and arranged an awesome jeep safari to Anakulam. Don’t miss the early-morning songs of the unknown birds. I also managed to spot an Indian giant squirrel. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful place in nature.
