We stayed in a family room for two people, and it worked really well for us. It was clean and had all the facilities. The place is quiet, with a very beautiful rooftop, and the staff are kind and flexible. It’s next to the bus station and Munnar info, a very good tour agency.

The rooms are too close together, so it’s hard to get decent sunlight or natural ventilation, and the Wi-Fi wasn’t working. What made the stay feel unsafe and dishonest was the way we were treated. We were told at arrival that early check-in was allowed. Later, a staff member demanded extra payment for it, even though nobody had mentioned a charge at first. That felt misleading and unprofessional. The owner was rude from the start and shouted when we said we wouldn’t pay the unexpected fee. Communication was confusing too: staff would tell us one thing, then the owner would say something completely different. The owner wasn’t helpful and was very rude. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially to travelers from outside the area. Be careful before booking.

The owner’s lack of basic hospitality and professionalism left the strongest bad impression. We booked a Room with Patio, but other guests occupied the patio area until 10PM. At 10:30 PM, staff told us that even normal conversation wasn’t allowed and we should go to sleep, saying the owner was monitoring the premises through cameras. Being told when we can talk and when we should sleep defeats the purpose of a vacation. The room was tiny for two people despite being advertised as Delux Room and Room with Patio. The property feels squeezed into a very small space, with narrow corridors and hardly any room to breathe. A vacation should help you relax, but this stay felt like the opposite.

We booked one night and were very satisfied with the room and service. The staff were kind and polite, and the room and bathroom were neat and tidy. We enjoyed the balcony, plus the garden area filled with books and a fresh feel. Our trip was really enjoyable.
