Moon hill munnar

The village of Mankulam is beautiful, with lots of waterfalls and adventure parks nearby. Anakulam, a great place to spot wild elephants, is also close. This is a very nice resort for adventure lovers, with a great view, and our helper, especially Kopil, was so good. It is far from Munnar, and the road up to the resort is steep. The restaurant should serve food on demand, but only complimentary breakfast was available. They should operate the restaurant regularly.

The staff, especially Jitin/Jinesh and Kapil, were extremely polite and helpful despite having very limited means. They helped with our bags, tried to get us kettles and essentials when we asked, and even set up a makeshift barbecue, which ended up being the highlight of the trip. There were only four kettles for 20 rooms. We appreciated getting a refund for the second night after we chose to leave early. I hope the owners take feedback seriously, because this place could be special again if they cared for it. We came with a large family group to Moonhill Farm Resorts, Mankulam, after confirming the booking more than a month and a half ahead. The location among misty hills and greenery is beautiful, but the resort was shockingly neglected. Every hut, not just ours, was filthy, with cobwebs, spiders, ants, lizards, stained and torn linen, and grimy bathrooms. The mattresses and pillows were lumpy and unclean. Even the premium AC room was poorly maintained. One pool was slimy with algae and derelict; the other, which we found later, had murky, untreated water. The resort did say they would chlorinate it if we wanted to use it. Management seemed to have abandoned upkeep and responsibility. A place with such a good location deserves better care. It has good bones, but as it is now, it felt more like a nightmare than a vacation. Still waiting for the brochure version to show up in real life. SM

The pool water was good, and the setting is natural, but the resort isn't maintained properly. Our rooms were spacious, though not well kept, and there was a power problem the day we went because of a generator issue. Service was at its worst, with just 3 people to look after such a large resort. I wouldn't recommend staying here with family until the maintenance issue is fixed.

We booked this resort for 28 people and found a cemented pool with no lights, and rooms without lights too. The grounds are large, but they aren't maintained, and there was only one person managing the place. We've been exploring resorts around Munnar for over 5 years, and this was the first time we'd come across this kind of resort. They could make it much more beautiful by investing some money. The trekking they offered was nice, though, and the waterfall at the end was amazing. The trek itself was the only thing that made the trip worthwhile. Please maintain the resort 🖐
