I stayed for four days in an economical room. The area felt safe, clean, and peaceful, and the caretaker was unusually friendly and caring. There was a kitchenette and high-speed WIFI. It's not ideal if you rely on public transport, have kids or toddlers, or plan frequent sightseeing trips to Munnar. There aren't good restaurants nearby, so for proper vegetarian food you'd need to travel to Admali. I'd recommend it to solo travelers or for a weekend spent relaxing indoors.

Getting to this hillock takes some effort. It's set back from the road, 20 km from Munnar town, and the approach is a steep, rocky dirt road. Parking fits at most three medium-sized cars. Once there, it's a small, quiet place surrounded by trees and greenery. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and decent, and the caretaker was very polite, friendly, and courteous.

Cleartrip arranged another room for us after I contacted them, but our plans had already been spoiled. I'd called Rock Inn Munnar three times to confirm the booking, yet nobody was there when we arrived and no one answered my calls. My team waited for more than two hours. It was the worst experience of my trip, and we were really disappointed.

The rooms were neat and good, but the area around them wasn't nice. The path to the room was really poor.
