OYO 24284 Snow Lavender Resorts Mankkulam

I visited in the summer of 2019. The resort had well-kept facilities, clean rooms, good linen, and staff who responded when needed. There’s a nice river view behind the property, and it was safe to bathe in the river. The road leading there was in poor condition.

We left after just one night, even though we had paid for two. There was no food nearby, and despite the listing, the hotel had no restaurant. The road was extremely steep and in very bad condition, and Google Maps sent us down a lonely, dangerous route. Avoid the shortest route it suggests. When we called, the man didn’t understand us and didn’t answer after the first call. At the hotel, the staff member was completely drunk. For two rooms we got just one bottle of liquid hand wash, and he said there was no OYO kit, then handed us small soaps. OYO’s support was no help either.

Snow Lavender turned out to be just rooms, with no facilities or food. It’s in a jungle area, about two hours from the city, and there was no courtesy toward guests. We had to carry our own luggage and got nothing but water. We didn’t have anything to eat for dinner. At checkout, they refunded only 200 rupees for breakfast for two days. Where are a couple supposed to get breakfast for 100 rupees? It was the worst experience. I won’t book through OYO again.

We spent one night here and had a good stay for a reasonable price. The rooms were large, with balconies overlooking the scenery. The staff were helpful and nice, and there’s a river behind the resort where you can bathe.
