The quiet setting, a little away from the busy city centre, made this a peaceful place to stay, and it felt like more than a 3-star property for the price. Munnar Castle is one of the best view hotels in Munnar. The rooms get good air flow, and the views through the wide, clear glass windows are stunning. Everything was very neat and spotlessly clean, including the well-kept bathrooms. The hot water shower was especially good, and I loved the tea at the in-house restaurant. There’s ample on-site parking at all times, and the manager was kind, friendly, and helpful.

The peaceful spot outside the main town was just right for a relaxing getaway. We had lovely views, cozy rooms, friendly service, and great food. The resort gave us a calm escape.

The location was good and the room looked neat, but water leaked from the toilet wash basin straight onto the bathroom floor. The room cleaning staff did clean it properly. Total 50.50. I’m not satisfied.

This was a very bad stay, and I’m planning to escalate it to the hotel owner. Families looking for a peaceful experience should stay away. Staff didn’t respond to our concerns or requests, were very rude, and showed little courtesy. When we raised the behaviour with reception, they brushed us off and became even more lethargic in responding. We also had a struggle getting basic toiletries like a toothbrush and toothpaste. There were language understanding issues too. In front of us, another guest asked why toiletries hadn’t been provided, and the receptionist, Mani, said they weren’t applicable to them. That was a very strange answer. This place wasn’t worth even one star.
