Kapil takes great care of the place, and our room was very clean and well equipped, with a comfortable bed, desk, and wardrobe. He also suggested a hiking guide, and we had a lovely hike. Rheinberg Town Haus sits in a quaint part of Munnar town, with nice views of both the mountains and town. It's only a 5-minute walk from town, yet quiet at night, and there's a lovely garden to sit in. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay and would come back.

The garden and views around the homestay are beautiful, and Saravana Bhavan, a veg restaurant, is just down the road, around 150-200 meters away. The walk up to the property takes 4-5 minutes and is steep, but staff help by carrying the luggage up and down. The approach road feels very dark at night because trees obscure the streetlights. Being surrounded by nature also means the rooms could use better pest control. The bathroom tiles should be sealed properly so bugs don't have places to hide.

The deluxe room was great, and the place was nice and quiet, away from the chaotic little town centre. The shower was a bit temperamental. Getting there would be difficult if you're not a strong walker.

Kapil was a wonderful, knowledgeable host who speaks fluent English. I told him what kinds of tours interested me, and he planned everything, finding the best tour at the best price since many companies offer the same things. For a single female traveler, he always arranged transportation with someone he knew and trusted, who spoke English, with the price set ahead of time. I've never had such stellar service. The location is lovely, with amazing views. It feels more like an Airbnb than a hotel.

The listing said parking was available, but there was no proper parking at the property. The road up the hill felt really dangerous, and my tire collapsed there. The room was very dirty and the staff unpleasant. I really don't recommend staying here.
