Tea Castle Munnar

The valley scenery from the balcony rooms was lovely, and the hotel sits among mountains and tea plantations. My room was clean and comfortable, and the friendly, helpful staff made the stay more pleasant. Still, I thought the price was high for what was offered. The TV in my room didn't work. Breakfast was only average: the South Indian dishes were okay, but the meal as a whole wasn't very satisfying. I also had butter chicken gravy, naan, and mixed papads from the restaurant for dinner, and that was just okay too, nothing special. It was a decent stay for the views and service, though the food and value could be better.

We came in January and found the hotel easy to get to, with lots of parking. Our executive room was comfortable, with a clean bathroom and friendly staff. There was no balcony for that room, but the window gave us enough of a view outside. Dinner from the hotel restaurant was excellent, and room service was great too. Prices seemed reasonable. I'd recommend it if you're after a good hotel in Munnar.

It's right by the road, with plenty of parking and a separate parking area. Beside the hotel, there's a tea plantation estate with beautiful views. Our room was spacious, tidy, and affordable, and the view from it was excellent. The staff were friendly and professional. We really enjoyed the food: soup, jeera rice, fried rice, chicken curry, and chicken 65 were all delicious. The complimentary breakfast the next morning was excellent too. I had an amazing stay and highly recommend the hotel.

We were a group of 59, and the hotel staff handled everything smoothly. Everyone enjoyed the views from the property and had good things to say about the service. For breakfast and dinner, there were good food options. If you're visiting Munnar, I'd definitely recommend staying here, and getting a valley view room is a good tip.
